Preliminary Report now available The Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services has released the Inspector-General of Emergency Management’s preliminary report on the emergency response to the thunderstorm asthma event that occurred in late November 2016.

Community Information sessions A series of community information sessions have already taken place throughout Melbourne and Geelong, with one session now remaining. We are pleased to have worked with Asthma Foundation Victoria and Asthma Australia to provide clinical expertise and advice at each session. Session dates and times State Government-funded research The Victorian Labor Government has announced a $1million funding package which will expand pollen counting networks as well as fund research into the underlying causes of thunderstorm asthma and the best processes for forecasting these events.
